The National Anglers Representative Association (NARA) is an independent organisation that represents affiliated game angling clubs on many fronts. NARA represents game anglers when dealing with government departments and agencies. We influence decisions relating to legislation, angling development and access to fisheries.
NARA recognizes the benefits angling delivers to the health and well being of people and their communities. We particularly appreciate the benefits angling brings to the environment, the tourism industry, and juveniles. We also exert our influence to ensure the protection of indigenous fish species and their habitats as part of our natural heritage. NARA is committed to supporting fishing clubs in the protection and development of their waters and we work with our affiliates to identify how youth angling could be prioritized and developed. NARA opposes any reduction in the current service provided by Inland Fisheries Ireland and other government organisations, and we insist that inland fisheries must be adequately funded.
We provide an excellent public liability/employers liability insurance package for our affiliates at a very competitive rate and an optional personal accident policy is also available. Policies also include indemnity for landowners, riparian owners and Inland Fisheries Ireland. Our policy will provide indemnification for government departments and agencies where required at no extra cost e.g. Indemnification for Leader Companies and government Ministers whilst grant aided work is being undertaken.
NARA gives game anglers a voice!
